Nick Merwald
With a strong background in Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu, I bring hands-on expertise in personal defense and conflict resolution. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology from the University of Northern Iowa and have over 10 years of experience in law enforcement, currently serving as a full-time officer. I am certified as a Defensive Tactics Instructor, Field Training Instructor, and Active Shooter Instructor, and I previously served as a Tactical Team Operator involved in high-risk response operations. My experience includes training personnel in threat recognition, de-escalation techniques, defensive tactics and emergency response protocols.
